Spirulina is effective in treating dark circles, dry eye symptoms, detoxifies skin, slows down aging and wrinkles (source 1), plus a study showed that spirulina contains antibacterial activity against cutibacterium acnes or Propionibacterium acnes which is a bacterium that is linked to the skin condition of acne. Honey is known for its wound healing properties but its effects on acne are not yet clear.
