THE BEST HALLOUMI BURGER RECIPE
This is the best halloumi burger you will ever eat!!!! Trust me, we love it. We make this halloumi burger recipe monthly and we love it every time even more! This halloumi mushroom recipe is just fantastic, so easy to make and I have not even added any herbs or spices as you will see besides garlic and onion.

Oven baked potatoes
3 potatoes, 2 potatoes and 1 sweet potato, sliced
1tsp turmeric powder
salt and pepper
2 garlic cloves (medium), crushed
1 red onion, sliced
250gr mushrooms (shiitake or pleurotus), sliced
250gr halloumi, sliced - keep the water from the package to use for later.
1 red pepper, sliced
salt and pepper
burger buns for 4 burgers
(Optional) Hummus or avocado dip to paste on the buns
In a bowl, add all the potato slices. Drizzle with olive oil, turmeric powder and season with salt and pepper. Leave to cook for 35mins at 200 degrees Celsius.
Drizzle a pan with olive oil, add the crushed garlic and the sliced onions. Leave to cook for 2 minutes in medium high heat.
After two minutes, add the red pepper and the mushrooms and leave to cook for 13 minutes in medium heat.
After 13 minutes, make space at the bottom of the pan for the halloumi slices, covering them with the vegetables and adding the halloumi liquid from the package. Leave to cook for 5 minutes in high heat.
After 5 minutes, turn the halloumi to cook on the other side as well and add spinach. Also leave to cook for additional 5 minutes.
When ready mix all the ingredients as much as possible and set aside.
Warm the burger bans so that they are a bit crispy on the inside for a couple of minutes.
Spread a dip of your choice on the buns, either a hummus dip or an avocado dip.
Add the halloumi with the vegetables on top and then then cover with the top bun.
Serve with the oven baked potatoes!
