During cold weather, a warm cosy drink is always a must. My favourite cold mornings include me getting in a cosy jumper, under a warm blanket with a warm soothing cup of matcha latte and catching up with friends or even watching romantic comedies...oh well...

A few of you have been asking me for a matcha latte recipe that will make this beneficial green tea taste delicious. Let’s be honest if not made right, it is not the tastiest drink. So, here is the way that I prefer to drink it.


Servings: 1 - Prep Time: 5 mins - Cooking Time: 2 mins



  • ⅕ tsp matcha powder

  • 2tbsp of hot water

  • A cup of coconut milk

  • 1 tsp of honey or agave syrup

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract


  1. In a small pan warm a cup of coconut milk, a minute or two should be more than enough.

  2. While it is still warming up add your sweetener and the vanilla.

  3. With a frother, stir well all the ingredients.

  4. Turn off the heat and leave the mixture to the site for a bit.

  5. In the meantime, in a cup, add 1/5 of a tsp of matcha powder and 2 tbsp of hot water.

  6. Using a bamboo whisk, whisk the powder with the water very well until well combined.

  7. Pour in the coconut mixture and enjoy!
