These bites are great to satisfy your cravings, offering a range of goodness to your body such as healthy fats from cocoa butter, a range of minerals, vitamins and also protein from tahini, calcium and potassium and not only from cocoa powder and natural occurring sugars from molasses. For those of you that are not familiar with molasses, it is a byproduct of sugar cane's refining process. Sugar cane is mashed to create juice, and then boiled once to create cane syrup. A second boiling creates molasses. Molasses contains vital vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B6, and selenium.

We will use only 2 tsp of molasses. The lower amount of sugar we include, the more beneficial our treats will be. If you do not have molasses, use maple syrup, stevia or agave syrup. I would not recommend using honey because of its consistency. It is quite heavy and unless melted really well and combined with the ingredients, it can end up at the bottom of you chocolate meaning that the top part of your chocolate will be bitter and the bottom sweet.
