Trail Mix Snack Recipe with Dehydrated Bananas & Strawberries and Pre-soaked Nuts & Seeds.



Prep Time: 6 mins - Cooking Time: 2 hours - Servings: 6



Ingredients:

  • 80 grams oats or a mix of oats and flaked buckwheat

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • 5 tsp tahini

  • handful of pre-soaked almonds and walnuts, halved

  • handful of pre-soaked and dried seeds (pumpkin & sunflower)

Fruit Dehydration

  • 1/2 banana, sliced

  • 4 strawberries, sliced

  • 1/2 lemon

  • 1 bowl water

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius.

  2. Squeeze 1/2 lemon in the bowl with water.

  3. Dip the banana and strawberry slices in the bowl and add on a tray covered with a baking sheet.

  4. Place in the oven and bake the strawberry slices for 1.5 hours and the banana slices for 2 hours.

  5. In a bowl, mix the oats, cinnamon, turmeric, tahini, pre-soaked nuts and seeds.

  6. Add the mixture in a baking tray and bake at 100 degrees Celsius.

  7. After an hour, remove the oat mixture from the oven and set aside.

  8. Half an hour later, remove the strawberry slices and set aside.

  9. Half an hour later, remove the banana slices and combine with the rest of the ingredients.

  10. Save in a jar for 4 days.
