COCONUT PROTEIN COFFEE RECIPE / HOMEMADE COCONUT CAPPUCCINO
I love drinking a warm cup of filtered coffee, counting my blessings or just being present and mindful. There are times that I enjoy spicing up my coffee a little bit by adding non-dairy milk, protein powder, and coconut oil, making it less strong and still super enjoyable.
Servings: 2 - Prep Time: 5 min
1 cup of filtered good quality coffee
1 cup of plant-based milk
2 tbsp of coconut oil
2 tbsp of unflavoured protein powder, I use collagen protein powder
So go ahead and prepare filtered coffee as you would normally do. One cup of filtered coffee is actually enough for two cups of the healthy protein coffee recipe.
Pour the coffee in a blender and pour a cup of a non-dairy milk, such as coconut milk, cashew, almond milk, or oat milk.
Add 2 tbsp of unflavoured protein powder, I am using unflavoured collagen powder but you can use a vegan option instead. I have provided some alternatives below.
I then add 2 tbsp of coconut oil to incorporate some healthy fats, to ensure that I am satisfied for a longer period of time and to create some froth.
Blend for a few seconds
Pour in two cups of glasses and enjoy!
